Blood Moon

Did anyone see the blood moon this morning!  Not only was it a full moon, but it was red because of the lunar eclipse!

Although the above picture is not my own, this is what I saw at 5:50am this morning!  So cool!

According to the Farmer's Almanac, in April of this year, there was the first of 4 blood moons to come, creating a tetrad series of this sort.  This moon, the 2nd in the series, is also called the Hunter's Moon and is the first full moon that follows the Harvest Moon.

To make this happen, the moon passed "to the north of the center of the shadow..." (of the Earth), which is what caused the red hue to be seen!

Leave me a comment letting me know if you got to see it too!  What were your thoughts?
